Join us at Hermann Sons Hall — 860 Western Ave, Petaluma, CA
Classes run for 10 weeks January 13-March 28th, and culminate in an open class for parents to observe. No class the week of February 19-23.
Now open for enrollment - Spring Session plus Recital.
Classes run April 14 - May 30th, and culminate in a performance recital on the stage at Hermann Sons Hall May 31st(dress rehearsal) and June 1st Performance. Tuition includes the performance fee and a costume to keep!
Every week during classtime we will build our dances for the recital - Dance of the Day. Each class will have a magical theme that brings us through out the phases of the day: Sunrise, Morning Dew Drops, Midmorning Rainbows, Golden Afternoon, Twilight Fairies, Fireflies, Midnight Shooting Stars.
We are a blossoming dance school inspired by Marie Morrow’s career performing modern dance in New York City and teaching Royal Academy of Dance in Brooklyn for 10+ years. The philosophy of West Hills Ballet is focused on creativity and artistic exploration to music, getting to know oneself better, and moving in community while still learning proper alignment and strong technique. It is our goal to prioritize joy over competition. Humans have danced together since before the development of language and WHB’s mission is to bring the experience of movement to daily life practice, reveling in our own unique artistic voice.

West Hills Ballet offers three weeks of dancing and art in a variety of camps for kids age 3-14. Two weeks are a themed ballet camp for the younger ballerinas age 3-6. And then a special week of arts intensive for age 6-10 year old students running the full day 9am-3pm and exploring different art techniques along with different dance styles. All camps include some time spent outside eating snack and lunch or down the street at the field to get some fresh air during our day spent in the studio.

A week to explore and experiment with different dance and art styles! After a morning Ballet technique class each day explores a different style of dance and artwork in the afternoons: Modern, Hip Hop, Yoga, Authentic Movement and Improvisation - Clay, yarn work, collage, beading and watercolors. This is the ultimate in sampling all the variety that can be found in the movement and visual arts, and truly experience how they are all connected by creativity and imagination. Led by Miss Marie alongside special guest dancer/teacher Alwyn McCormick, visiting all the way from New York City! Lunch break is spent at the field down the street with some outdoor time to compliment the rest of the day spent in the studio.
